ADMISSION

ADMISSION POLICY:

a.  30% seats in each class are preferably utilized for children of civilians. The vacancy occurring in quota of children of Army Personnel is not reallocated to that of civilian children unless approved by LGES Secretariat. If some vacancies exist/occur in the 30% quota of civilians the priority is given to the children of army personnel.

b.  Children of civilians are offered admission in Play Group, K.G and Prep, admission is processed through
     LGES Secretariat in the beginning of the academic session.

c.  Admissions are offered to students from other institutions to fill existing vacancies. Admissions are granted on merit, based on the candidate’s performance in admission test held by the LGES Secretariat. Those finally selected for admission are required to join the respective institution.

d.  Donation from parents in kind or cash either for admission or any other purposes are strictly forbidden.

Class suitability will be decided according to child’s age on 31st March: - 

a.  If any vacancy occurs for civilians in any class, admission will be processed by the Principal.

b.  Admission of defence personnel children (transfer cases will be guaranteed) on the authority of LGES Secretariat letter.

 

ADMISSION TEST/ INTERVIEW: Admission test will be based on following: - 

a.        Class last attended with year and month.

b.        Exam last passed with year and month.

c.        Age on 31st March.

 

LEVEL OF ADMISSION ENTRY TEST:

      a.         Beginning of new session          :           Previous class level.

      b.         After 3 months/onwards            :           Amount of syllabus covered in the class.

 

REGISTRATION, SECURITY AND ADMISSION:

          The admission procedure begins with registration which means entering a child’s name on the school register for purposes of admission. Registration in itself does not guarantee admission. Registration fee is charged to cover clerical and administrative costs.

 

ADMISSION IS BASED ON MERIT AVAILABILITY OF SEATS:

      Once admission is confirmed a refundable security of Rs ---------------- and a non refundable admission fee of Rs ------------ is charged. All the dues must paid within the due date, otherwise the admission stands cancelled.

 

ADMISSION TEST/INTERVIEW TIMING:  Admission test will be based on: -

a.         PLAY GROUP:

            ·        Informal assessment based on Vocabulary Motor Skills and I. Q level.

            ·        Oral/visual responses/awareness.

            ·        Only grades are given.

b.         KINDERGARTEN:

            ·        Informal assessment based on reading level, vocabulary, concepts of numbers and colours,

                     confidence/expression in spoken English.          

            ·        Judging pencil grasp.

            ·        I. Q level of the child.

 

ONLY GRADES ARE GIVEN:

a.         CLASS PREP:

            ·        Written assessment based on concepts of numbers, Alphabets both in English and Urdu.

            ·        Oral responses to question asked.

b.         CLASS: I – V: Written test in core subjects viz English, Urdu and Mathematics as well as reading and

            comprehension levels.            

 

FINAL SELECTION:

·        Admission will be on merit and on availability of seats

·        Names of selected candidates will be displayed on the school notice board on a given date.

 

SCHOOL UNIFORM: All the students are required to wear the prescribed uniform in order to ensure identity and to check the use of expensive/showy dress and maintain uniformity and equality among the students.
